Antivirus Source Code In Vb.net Software
I think the basic principle of an anti-virus is to store a checksum of the virus file (ie: CRC) in a database, scan the file and see if its checksum is found in the database. That's the most basic form of an anti-virus. For one like that, you really just need a good, updated database of virus checksums. Lots of virus' can change their checksums though making them undetectable that way.
I'm not sure of a practical way in VB to get past that. But there are anti-virus examples at that link I posted, most of them probably like I described. →.new.

Not perfect, but a good attempt for.NET. Still needs lots of work with Authorization with system files and deleting the viruses found, but i just think HF deserves it, uses Sha1 and MD5 hashes to detect viruses. Credits to fillobotto and iVision from for the Multithreading codes. Download: You can make your own AV if you have the skills.
